Any ideas out there with getting rid of the smell???
It doesnt seem like the shower and shampoo is even taking a bite out of the intensity.
I think the pool Im swimming in now is more heavily chlorinated than any one Ive ever swam in and it seems to be sinking deeply into my pores.
Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Re: help me shed this chlorine smell
Fri, October 19, 2007 - 8:31 AMWear a swimmers cap? I know I shower immediately after swimming at the gym in the communal shower, it helps. -

Mon, October 22, 2007 - 3:14 PMWashing with soap right after does take some of it off. Also, if you wet your head with tapwater before you put on a swimcap, it will seal the pool water out. -

Re: help me shed this chlorine smell
Mon, October 22, 2007 - 10:21 PMI LOVE the chlorine smell, it is a measure of the swim shape I'm in - I love getting into a hot shower and smelling the chlorine, as well as never having to wear deodorant and smelling like chlorine when I sweat. My girlfriend knows me by that body smell too. Embrace it, not erase it. -

Re: help me shed this chlorine smell
Tue, October 23, 2007 - 10:06 AMFor shampoo I use Ultra Swim Shampoo and Trader Joe's Citrus shampoo then my regular conditioner. (I have long curly hair that seems to just soak up the chlorine)
For body wash I use either Dr.Bronner's or Trader Joe's peppermint castille soap. It seems to help. Then after the shower I lather a lot of lotion on my whole body. That *usually* helps...but it doesn't get rid of the chlorine completely. -

Fri, October 26, 2007 - 3:41 PMHey thanks, Lisa!
I seem to have curbed the intense chlorine smell and that makes me happy and makes me swim even more . . . !
Thanks for your feedback.
